INDAM RESEARCH UNIT AT POLITECNICO DI MILANO
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The National Institute of High Mathematics (INdAM) is a research institution founded by the mathematician Francesco Severi in 1939. The objectives of the Institute are: to promote, at the national, international, and community levels, the training of researchers in mathematics, integrating the existing training potential in various Italian universities; to conduct and promote research in pure and applied mathematics, also ensuring the transfer of knowledge to technological applications; to stimulate collaboration between Italian and international mathematical research, particularly by promoting and participating in initiatives and programs within the European Union. The Department of Mathematics of the Politecnico di Milano shares with INdAM the mission of promoting scientific research and high-level training in mathematical disciplines. To this end, it collaborates with the Institute, hosting a Research Unit.
